After several years of disappointment in the field for quail hunters, the 2014 season is proving to be one to remember. Several hunters have reported that quail populations seem to be improved, and they are having success finding and harvesting bobwhites and scaled quail in some sections of Oklahoma.
"It's 100 percent better this year," said hunter Lee Francis, president of Tulsa's Tall Grass Heritage Chapter of Quail Forever. "It's like a new day."
