Americans have an easier time bringing firearms abroad for hunting trips than citizens of other countries have bringing their hunting rifles here. The solution: camp guns.

The Matterhorn by Capra Outdoor of Switzerland is one of the nicest camp guns the author has encountered. It is based on an Austrian action and features an adjustable stock. The Matterhorn Boddington used was chambered to the unusual and effective 10.3mm Capra cartridge. 

Thanks to our Second Amendment, law-abiding Americans are uniquely blessed with the ability to own the sporting firearms that suits our fancy. And, within the U.S., we can usually take our preferred choices to shooting events and on hunting trips. When planning a hunt, some of us may reach deep into the safe to pull out an old favorite, while others may set up something new for the job at hand.
