Episode 1: Guido Hibdon, a 30-year veteran angler with two Angler of the Year titles and a Bassmaster Classic Championship, takes on Claude “Fish” Fishburne, coaxed out of a nearly decade-long retirement from tournament fishing just to compete in UMF. This show kicks off the new UMF season with one of the greatest show-downs we’ve ever seen.

Episode 2: 20-year veteran Randy Blaukat, with 8 B.A.S.S. Classic qualifications and 24 B.A.S.S Top-10 Finalist finishes, challenges rising star Bill Lowen. In UMF, career accomplishments mean nothing; it all comes down to a single day on the defiant Tim’s Ford Lake.

Episode 3: Last year’s UMF champion, David Walker, returns to defend his title against Terry “Big Show” Scroggins. Will David Walker become the first angler in Ultimate Match Fishing history to repeat as a UMF Champion?

Episode 4: Money – it’s what professional anglers fish for. And in the last few years, no one has won more of it than 2008 FLW Angler of the Year David Dudley. In episode 4, he’ll bring everything he has against Elite Series pro, and fellow Virginian, John Crews, in what shapes up to be a turf war for Blue Ridge bragging rights.

Episode 5: With a BASS Angler of the Year Title and 8 Classic appearances already under his belt, Elite Series pro Aaron Martens gets his first taste of Ultimate Match Fishing against one of the FLW’s best, Florida’s own J.T. Kenney. The BASS-FLW throw-down continues with a spot in the UMF Quarterfinals on the line.

Episode 6: In a sport where the label “legend” is casually tossed about like a plastic worm on a pay lake, few anglers have really achieved the kind of success and longevity to truly earn it. Gary Klein is one of those anglers. With 27 classic appearances and 8 tour wins, Gary Klein continues to be a threat in any event he enters. In the final match of the first round of UMF 2009, he enters the ring against FLW pro and crank bait connoisseur Bud Pruitt. One spot remains in the Ultimate Match Fishing Title Round. Will it be Gary Klein or Bud Pruitt?
