Lefty Kreh

Bernard Victor “Lefty” Kreh, the iconic persona of American fly fishing, passed away at his Cockeysville, Md. home on March 14, 2018 after battling congestive heart failure and declining health in recent months. He was 93.

Famed angler, author, photographer, and fly fishing instructor Bernard 'Lefty' Kreh fought in the Battle of the Bulge, fished with Ernest Hemingway & Fidel Castro, and has a US Postage Stamp in his honor. He created the 'Lefty's Deceiver' streamer fly, one of the most popular and successful saltwater flies ever tied.
