Growing up in Arizona, Dave Watson had two passions: music and bowhunting. He has excelled in both. As a musician, he’s taken the stage with some of the biggest names in country music including The Oak Ridge Boys, Lee Greenwood and Shenandoah, earning 7 Gold Records along the way. As a bowhunter, Dave has traveled North America, Australia, New Zealand and Africa in search of high-strung adventure.
In October of 1996, Dave set his sites on network television and debuted with “Secrets of the Hunt” on TNN in 1998. That series (in which Dave served as producer, director, writer and host) resulted in one of the most successful outdoor shows in TNN’s history.
As word quickly spread of Watson’s production talents, so did his list of clients as he produced, “Cabela’s Memories in the Field”, “Dallenbach’s Garage” and “Track and Trail Adventures” for Outdoor Channel.
Dave Watson was named as one of the 25 top Movers & Shakers in the archery industry of the last 25 years and as he looks to the future, Dave plans on keeping that momentum going with his series “Mathews TV” and “Cabela’s Memories in the Field.”
Dave also writes and records songs about his outdoor experiences. “Although television is the most effective promotional tool in the history of man, sometimes I can reach people through the universal language of music when words alone cannot.” Dave wrote the official theme songs of The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and Dallas Safari Club.
