Brandon Bates

Brandon Bates is the host of the award-winning show, RMEF Team Elk. Bates is humbled that Team Elk was voted by viewers as the Outdoor Channel’s Fan Favorite New Series of 2011. “It’s a tremendous honor” says Bates, “I’m proud to be a member of Team Elk and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. I can’t wait for viewers to see the show this season and learn more about the RMEF and how Hunting Is Conservation.”

Bates lives in Oklahoma with his wife, Ashly, and their young daughter, Zeyda Mae. He has been the voice of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) for more than a decade. Bates says, “I’m lucky my family supports me. They put up with me being on the road many weekends out of the year, either hunting or with the PBR. I love my job and my family, life is great.”

Bates grew up in southern Louisiana and never thought he would become a Western big game hunter. “I love hunting…with a bow, or a rifle, it doesn’t matter. Working with the RMEF is my dream job”, says Bates, “I hope viewers appreciate what we’re doing with Team Elk. Every member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is considered a member of Team Elk. It’s more than just a TV show. It’s part of a conservation movement that’s making a difference for the future of elk and elk hunters.”
