Venison Sausage Gravy Recipe

Wake up with this simple venison sausage gravy recipe! Just add on top of warm, buttery biscuits for a delicious start to your day

  • 1/2 pound venison sausage
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 1/4 cups whole milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Fry the sausage in a heavy pan and keep the grease in it. If there is excess amount (like swimming in it) drain half of the grease. Sprinkle the flour over the cooked sausage with the garlic and onion powder. Mix well and cook for two minutes, stirring. Slowly add the milk (I use a whisk at this point) and whisk until thickened. Serve over warm buttered biscuits.
