Building on the humpback-styled looks and legacy of the original Browning Auto-5, the A5 in Browning's new 12-gauge Wicked Wing shotgun model offers the stylish looks of Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Blades, a Cerakote Burnt Bronze camo finish on the receiver and Burnt Bronze on the barrel. Add in a Briley extended bolt handle, an oversized-bolt release, a fully chromed bore, the new Kinematic Drive System and the company's 100,000-round or five-year guarantee and it's tough to beat this new waterfowl shotgun from the company bearing John M. Browning's legendary name.

There are few gauges more enjoyable to shoot in the field or on a clay targets range than the tried-and-true 28-gauge. Building on the enthusiasm of 28-gauge shooters, Mossberg International has unveiled its new semi-automatic SA-28, a gas-operated shotgun with walnut checkering on the stock and forend along with a 26-inch-long barrel, features that help make this scattergun easy to handle. It’s light to carry in the field and able to handle a variety of 28-gauge shells. So whether a 28-gauge enthusiast is chasing ducks in the marsh, quail over a locked-up pointer, mourning doves next to a waterhole, or tackling a tough sporting clays range, the result is still the same; the superb quality and great features that Mossberg is known for, all in a package that is easy and fun to shoot.

Building on the award-winning V3 Field Sport platform Remington Arms introduced a year ago, the legendary American gun maker unveils the new walnut version of the 12-gauge semi-automatic scattergun for 2017. Featuring the quick pointing ability and stylish looks reminiscent of the company's iconic Model 1100 shotgun, the new walnut version of the V3 Field Sport shotgun features a SuperCell recoil pad, a multi-feature magazine cutoff and the VersaPort operating system, the latter designed to regulate gas pressure based upon the length of the 2 ¾- or 3-inch shotshells being used. Checking in at just more than 7 pounds, this high-performance shotgun with low recoil, superb handling abilities and a timeless classic look should be a big hit with longtime Remington fans.

Combining performance and value, this new Stevens over-and-under shotgun from Savage Arms offers a light aluminum receiver that is reported to be scaled to gauge along with incorporating a steel insert that both reinforces the breech with more strength and checks in with less weight. With an Imperial walnut stock and forend, auto-shell ejectors and a laser-engraved receiver, the quick-handling 555 Enhanced comes with five interchangeable choke tubes in the 12-, 20-, 28-gauge and .410 chamberings.

Building on the renowned SX3 shotgun platform, the engineers at Winchester Repeating Arms have brought out an even better scattergun with the new SX4 Waterfowl Hunter. With a 26-inch barrel, the 12-gauge shotgun has an aluminum alloy receiver, a chrome plated chamber and bore, a composite stock and forend, features aimed at helping this shotgun be faster cycling and a sweet-shooting machine out in the field. With Back-Bored Technology to ensure dense, even patterns along with a smaller pistol grip and textured gripping surfaces, the shotgun also has a larger cocking handle and bolt release along with a reversible safety. Add in a larger opening in the trigger guard and the result is easier operation, even in cold conditions while duck and goose hunters are using gloves. Finally, the inclusion of three Invector-Plus choke tubes, a TRUGLO fiber-optic sight and an Inflex Technology recoil pad should all help make this yet another winning entry from the gun makers at Winchester.
