Second Annual Explore Your Parks Program

Second Annual Explore Your Parks Program

BRIGHTON, Colo. – The North Face is partnering with Barr Lake State Park for the second annual Explore Your Parks Program on Monday, Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will be held at the pavilion, near the Barr Lake Nature Center, and the water activities will be held near the boat ramp area. Aug. 1 is also Colorado Day, which celebrates Colorado's statehood with free admission to all 42 Colorado State Parks.

The Explore Your Parks Program helps preserve and protect parks, educate the public about the value of nature and the importance of being healthy and active in the outdoors. The Explore Your Parks Program has expanded to seven major cities this year. This exciting program encourages people living in the San Francisco, Boston, New York, Washington DC, Denver, Portland, and Twin Cities areas to get outdoors and enjoy front-country, close-to-home recreation opportunities! Consumers can get a free day pass and activity guide to the parks in your area with any purchase of The North Face product at participating retailers.

Join us for the opportunity to meet some of our partners, including National Parks Trust, Leave No Trace E-tour team, and other local partners. This event is in conjunction with Michelle Obama's Let Move Outside initiative, and will have activities, speakers, and giveaways for the whole family!

At Barr Lake State Park, activities for this day include:
