Realtree, Bad Boy Buggies to Sponsor RCR's No. 29 at Bristol

Realtree, the creator and marketer of the world's most versatile camo patterns, and Bad Boy Buggies, a leader in utility vehicles for hunting and outdoor lifestyles, will partner as co-primary sponsors of Richard Childress Racing’s No. 29 Chevrolet team with Kevin Harvick for the Aug. 27 Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol (Va.) Motor Speedway.

Realtree, based in Columbus, Ga., has maintained a relationship with RCR since 1997 and with Harvick at RCR since 1999. Bad Boy Buggies, Inc. is an operating unit of Textron Inc.’s E-Z-GO business unit. The pairing of Realtree and Bad Boy Buggies with RCR and Harvick has some interesting twists. Realtree is one of the longest running RCR sponsors, with 14 years of continuous presence on the team's cars, and actually sponsored Harvick's first ARCA race at Talladega in an RCR car. Bad Boy Buggies is currently a sponsor at Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) in the Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series. 

"The Bristol night race really comes at a great time of year to put the NASCAR spotlight on the Bad Boy Buggies and Realtree brands," said Realtree Designer and President Bill Jordan. "Outdoorsmen everywhere are thinking about the upcoming fall hunting seasons. Of course, when it comes to racing, it doesn't get much more exciting than Bristol!"

Harvick is currently fifth in the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point standings after 21 races. So far this season, the No. 29 team has earned three victories, six top-five and 10 top-10 finishes. Harvick captured the checkered flag at Auto Club Speedway in March, Martinsville Speedway in April and Charlotte Motor Speedway in May. He is all but assured a spot in this season’s Sprint Chase for the Cup.

Harvick has a strong history at Bristol Motor Speedway. He has earned one (April 2005), nine top-five and 12 top-10 finishes in 21 career Sprint Cup Series starts. He’s also earned five victories, two poles, 13 top-five and 17 top-10 finishes in 21 Nationwide Series starts and three top-10 finishes in four starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
