The Whitetail Freaks television series goes beyond just your run-of-the-mill outdoor hunting show... this show is deer hunting to the Nth degree. Eight teams of the most dedicated, hard core, whitetail hunting fanatics were chosen to show the true meaning of mega-buck hunting. These hard-hittin' hunters are average Joes, with real jobs and real families, and all share the same passion, to study, manage and harvest "mature" trophy whitetails.
Here's where this show will change whitetail hunting as we know it today. These dedicated whitetail hunters use tools to effectively manage property for trophy whitetails.
Trail cameras... Trail cameras are used religiously from the whitetail's velvet phase and throughout the hunting season. Hunter's may go out and hunt over located sign, but these hunters "know" what bucks are in their hunting area.
Plant food plots... these dedicated hunters know the importance of planting food plots, and show the process from start to finish.
Shed Hunt... shed hunting tells the true story of a given buck's core area. Found shed antlers reveal bedding areas, travel corridors, and a buck's home range.
Next, treestand time. These dedicated hunters spend countless hours each season afield... waiting for that one opportunity to reap the rewards of their hard work.
Put the pieces of the puzzle together and a map is formed. Here's the hard part - letting bucks walk. To effectively harvest "mature" whitetails, young bucks need time to mature. That means letting 140, 150 and 160 class animals walk. This is the key to effectively grow, and harvest, mature trophy whitetails.
This is a new evolution of whitetail hunting... showing average Joes that all share one passion. And, the community that follows bears one name... this is Whitetail Freaks.
