The Catch: Costa Rica is a high octane reality competition series that takes the contestants on a fishing adventure like you’ve never seen before. Twelve men and women with limited fishing experience travel to Costa Rica where they must live with one another, hone their angling skills and out-fish the competition to earn the title of Ultimate Fisherman and win a prize of $50,000. In thirteen half-hour episodes, the contestants will experience all the thrills and heartbreak of coastal fishing in Costa Rica and will hold the fate of their fellow contestants in their hands as they must choose who to vote off at the conclusion of each round.
These twelve strangers all bring something different to the table. A school teacher, a used car salesman, a retired grandfather, a boat captain, a student, a traveler, a model, and a computer technician are among the distinct personalities that experience all the most exciting and the most challenging fishing that Costa Rica has to offer.
Hostess Aurelia Riley guides these twelve contestants through their adventures with the help of three fishing experts, one in each of the coveted, diverse fishing spots all across the country. Some of the big game fish hauled in by the anglers include tarpon, tuna, dorado, sailfish and the biggest of them all, marlin. For one determined contestant, it will take perseverance, the ability to learn the art of fishing and the skill to win the battle with these graceful monsters of the sea to become the Ultimate Fisherman.
Aurelia Rose Riley was born and raised in Rockledge, FL. where she developed her passion for both performance and the outdoors. From there she ventured off to St. Andrews Presbyterian College to study Equine Business for a year, competing at the collegiate level in hunter/jumpers, before catching the performance bug and transferred to Savannah College of Art and Design. After graduating from SCAD with a B.F.A in Media and Performing Arts, she was offered a role in Dreamland Drive-In, a stage production at the fabulous Dollywood themepark in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. While in TN she enjoyed her time working for Mrs. Dolly Parton not only at Dollywood but also at Dolly's Dixie Stampede. There she was offered the role as dance captain and loved her line of work dancing in the dirt, riding ostriches, and getting buck wild! Yeehaw!! Then the title role in a little show called "Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical" brought her across the country to Los Angeles where it ran for a month at the Key Club on the Sunset Strip. Residing now in LA she is working on upcoming projects and is assistant to the head trainer of D&D Stables, a hunter/jumper show farm. She is currently the hostess of the new television series The Catch: Costa Rica.
