Offshore Adventures chronicles the journey of four young friends who left life on land behind to discover the world's oceans. Aboard the 72-foot vessel 'Go Fisch,' they fish the world's most legendary waters, breath-hold spearfish at extreme depths, and stop to explore local villages and coastlines. In each episode, a gourmet chef prepares the day's catch, creating mouthwatering delicacies fresh from the sea. This year Offshore Adventures will celebrate it's 5th year as one of the number one watched outdoor television shows in America.
Join husband-and-wife hosts Chris and Melissa Fischer as they team up with Captain Brett McBride and gourmet chef David Olson to tackle some of the most fertile fishing grounds in the world. "Offshore Adventures" goes further than any other outdoor show on the air. Their adventures take them to out-of-the-way fishing and free-diving spots throughout the Pacific Coast, sometimes 100 miles or more from shore. The real star of the show, however, is Mother Ocean.
"We have discovered such an incredible array of unpredictable beauty from orcas in Alaska to giant black marlin in Panama," said Chris Fischer, co-host of "Offshore Adventures" and CEO of Fischer Productions. "It's about discovery above the water, next to the water, below the water, and from a cultural standpoint, discovering the local flavor of these coastal communities."
In four years of filming this series, Offshore Adventures has traveled more than 20,000 miles on the open ocean. The camera follows the crew everywhere, from underwater dives to the preparation of the evening's gourmet meal to the moment 'the big one' gets away. The show features world-class free diving and spear fishing which highlights the overall theme - to fish responsibly and sustainably.
