About Ron "Tupelo Flash" SteinAs the host of Midway USA's Cowboys starting in 2009, Ron "Tupelo Flash" Stein has been shooting since he was 10-years-old, and has been a Cowboy at heart from day one. His arrival to the popular shooting show brings a lifelong commitment to activism, entertainment, and advocacy to Outdoor Channel.
His entertainment background started with Stein performing as an Elvis impersonator and producing his own full-stage headliner shows for Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe's biggest showrooms. "Memories of Elvis" and "Hollywood Stars" were instant successes in their own right and helped propel Stein to a world-wide touring schedule. Throughout his career, he’s shared the stage with the country's greatest entertainers: Charile Daniels, Johnny Cash, and the Jordanaires, among others. He has also had the privilege of performing across the world for the U.S. Armed Forces. In addition to his work for the troops, Stein and his wife are also extremely active for causes related to the developmentally disabled.
Stein soon transitioned his stage persona into a successful Hollywood career, nabbing roles on shows like Married...With Children, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and movies such as Death Becomes Her and the Patrick Swayze classic, Roadhouse.
With the shooting skills to back up his Hollywood image, Ron Stein is a Lifetime Member of the Single Action Shooting Society (S.A.S.S.) and NRA member. Competition-wise, Stein continues to earn Top 5 and Top 10 finishes in the 49er class of in many S.A.S.S. and Western 3 Gun State and World events.
