JON & GINA BRUNSON

A wandering stream, a forested trail – when you’re outdoors, there are many paths to take. Somehow Jon and Gina Brunson found the best path that exists in the outdoors – the shared one.

Gina grew up in a family large enough to staff more than two dozen baseball teams. By the time she was eighteen, she’d shared her house with the 250 children given foster care by her parents. Still, she found time for lots of fishing time with her dad, and also competed on school track, softball and gymnastics teams.

Jon also grew up fishing, and also added hunting and camping to the mix. He got his start helping his family raise and train English Pointers, and by the time he was eight years old, he faced a huge decision almost daily – which should he take into the woods with him, his bow or shotgun? His parents, brothers and sisters knew – if they needed to find Jon, there was no sense looking for him in the house. From sunup to sundown, Jon was exploring and hunting in the woods.

After college, Jon worked as a sales and marketing executive until at thirty years old, he launched his own marketing firm.

While running the new company, he also worked on software for the outdoor industry, and soon introduced Sportsmanlog.com, which branched into Huntinglog.com and Fishinglog.com. The websites gave outdoor enthusiasts a place to store information about their hunting and fishing outings – at 40,000 plus members, it’s still growing.
Jon and Gina met 18 years ago, and it wasn’t long before Gina’s natural competitive spirit focused on big whitetails. She’s taken several bucks that scored better than 150, and also record book black buck, axis deer, alligator and buffalo.
Somehow the busy couple has found time to have six children. Both say that for them, the true value of the outdoors is not in the downed game, but in watching their children learn to enjoy the outdoors as they do.

2004 found Jon and Gina welcoming another newcomer to the family – JBO Production Inc., which quickly began winning many industry awards. Due to its success, JBO Production also began to create and produce other outdoor shows, such as American Huntress and Country Boys Outdoors (featuring Sacramento Kings center Brad Miller).
In 2007, Jon and Gina packed their six children into an RV for a Florida to South Dakota road trip and whitetail hunt. It was the first show for their newest venture, Addicted to the Outdoors (ATTO), which has a revolutionary format that takes viewers along with them as they pursue game.

Choosing a name for the new show was easy, since both Jon, Gina and their children are Addicted to the Outdoors. Are they living the dream? Yes, their particular dream, where a man, his wife and their children together explore those wandering streams and forested trails of the outdoors.

Episode 04 - FL Turkey
This week we start off in Georgia turkey hunting with our friends Rudd and Tim but after a couple tough days we head back to central Florida to see if our bud Greg Lovett with Lovett outdoors can help us get on a bird. This ends up being a short trip with quite a bit of action so make sure you check it out

Episode 05 - Kentucky Whitetails
This week we are in Kentucky hunting whitetails with Big Buck Properties and our good friend Brad Miller (center for the Chicago Bulls) joins us. This ends up being a trip of a lifetime with Gina taking the new Kentucky state record with a bow by a woman which landed her on the cover of Realtree’s Monster Buck DVD series. So if you love whitetails like we do you don’t want to miss this episode.

Episode 06 - Kentucky Whitetails/Chuck Wicks
This week we are back in Kentucky with Big Buck Properties on a late season whitetail muzzleloader hunt and we invited Chuck Wicks (country singer, also Dances With The Stars) and his Dad John to join us and it is an interesting group in camp to say the least so be sure to check it out.

Episode 07 - Whitetails With John Bender
This week we are back hunting with our buddy John Bender but in Missouri this year for whitetail. Gina gets a crack at a nice whitetail her first day (yes she had a lucky horseshoe in her pocket this year) and Jon gets an opportunity at a nice buck in a very unusual place, make sure you check it out to se what happens.

Episode 08 – Florida Gator with Lee & Tiffany Lakosky
This week Jon and Gina team up with “The Crush” co-hosts (and fellow outdoor couple) Lee & Tiffany Lakosky for a hunt you won’t want to miss.

Episode 09 - Whitetails With Tripple T
This week we are at Tripple T in Illinois where we hunt hard and Gina finally gets a crack at a nice whitetail with her bow but we have trouble tracking the deer after the shot and it is a nail biter for Gina because we have to head home the next morning and the thought of loosing this deer has got her sick to her stomach. Make sure you check out the show to see what happens.

Episode 10 -  KY Charity Event
This week we are back in Kentucky participating in a great charity event the Big Buck Games put on for our wounded soldiers. We had a great time got to hang with some other TV personalities in the industry, met some great athletes and got to meet quite a few brave soldiers that have served this country.

Episode 11 - Nebraska Mule Deer
This week we are back in Nebraska hunting with one of our favorite outfitters Scott Kuhn with Deer Meadows Outfitter and above and beyond the fact that the hunting was awesome this is definitely one of the funniest shows of the season so be sure not to miss it.

Episode 12 - Arkansas Ducks
This week we head to Arkansas to hunt with our buddy Kevin Jones at his local duck camp and aside from hammering some ducks we had a great time hangin with the boys at camp, this is another funny and entertaining show.

Episode 13 – Best of Season 2
This week, Jon & Gina wrap up another fantastic season of “Addicted to the Outdoors” by showing the viewers the most exciting, heart-pounding, funniest, emotional and memorable moments from another successful season.
